I was dating someone for about a year. She was looking to buy a house, so sometimes I'd go with her to check them out. I was a fairly recently divorced father of an elementary age boy. I had my own house and we had not even broached the subject of moving in together.
I had my son on a day that she was looking and asked if he wanted to come. He'd known we were dating for months, but this was the first house he looked at with us.
